'13 Giant Revel 29er 1

Giant's Revel 29er 1 tackles any terrain big or small, steep or flat. It handles trails, paths and roads with a light, competition-inspired aluminum frame for comfort and responsiveness. The bump-absorbing suspension fork has 80mm of travel to help you sail over ruts, rocks and bad pavement. Big, 29-inch wheels with Giant knobby tires steamroll obstacles like a boss, too. You'll also love the easy-pedaling Shimano 24-speed drivetrain, the supportive saddle and the mechanical disc brakes.

    Comments:

I bought this bike at my LBS, who actually directed me to this bike. I am a previous Giant bike owner and was leaning to the Giant but was on a budget. The bike was all that was stated in the sales talk, and is a great bike for the money. The problem I had was after paying for the bike was when it actually came in. It took a couple weeks after I was told when it would arrive. When it came in, the pedals where not the Giant Alloy Platform pedals, but a plastic cheap pedal. During the sales presentation, I was told I would be fitted, when I came to pick up the bike it was told me there you go. In other words, I was not fitted, I had to do it at home, and being my first new Mountain Bike purchase, I hope I got it right. I was actually sold on my LBS' service which I have not used yet and hopefully it will be as they say it is and not by my experience so far. I am willingly to give it a try sine I did purchase the bike at my LBS. The bike is great, smooth shifting, rides great.
